Mary Help of Christians Crusade (MHCC)
MHCC is a worldwide youth sector of the Leaven of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters. It is a Marian charismatic youth group that is devoted to spiritual formation through the Rosary, Adoration, Holy Mass, and confession on a regular basis. They meet weekly or monthly and currently have crusade groups in the U.S., Australia, and the Philippines.
History of MHCC
On May 14, 1862, Don Bosco dreamed about the battles the Church would face in the latter days. In his dream, the Pope of those days anchors the 'ship' of the Church between two pillars, one with a statue of Mary (Auxilium Christianorum or 'Help of Christians') and the other with a large Eucharistic Host.
St. John Bosco wrote about his congregation, the Salesians: "The principal objective is to promote veneration of the Blessed Sacrament and devotion to Mary Help of Christians. This title seems to please the august Queen of Heaven very much." |
BELIEVE Eucharistic Congress
Our youth activities culminate in the Eucharistic Congress BELIEVE - an experience of faith, which seeks to strengthen the conviction of young adults, as they willingly embrace the beauty of their Catholic faith through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Confession, the Holy Rosary, inspiring talks, testimonies, skits, games and activities. Together with their peers, the youth are inspired to respond to the Holy Father's vision of radiating the joy of living the Gospel!
