The LIHM Sisters first opened its Australian mission in 2002, ready to share our love of Jesus and Mary to this corner of the world. Based in Melbourne, the largest archdiocese of Australia, the LIHM continue our missionary efforts through youth formation, primarily through the MHCC, as well as children catechism programs, school programs and family consecration to the Two Hearts/house-to-house evangelisation.
The LIHM are well recognised in youth ministry by the Archdiocesan Office of Youth, with the Mary Help of Christians Crusade present as parish youth groups in St. Anthony's, Melton South, St. Peter Apostle, Hoppers Crossing and St. Gerard's, North Dandenong. Our MHCC Auxiliaries also lead their own youth group in the nearby town of Geelong. We meet separately for weekly formation and gather all together for General Mariology, Sports Days, Recollections, Workshops, Retreats, Camps, Conferences and other youth events.
We hold catechism days for the Western suburbs as well as the South East. Our children's ministry program also supports other various groups around Melbourne, namely Jesus Youth, Children of Mary, and homeschooling co-ops, among others.
The LIHM Sisters have also been welcomed into Catholic Regional College - Caroline Springs, for faith formation support among the students and the staff.
